Income Report / QAN - the sector not to be in

QAN - the sector not to be in

There's no reason to be in this sector!
  • Qantas - QAN yesterday came out with a half year profit warning loss of -$300m.
  • We have no reason to be in the sector – “Investors have poured their money in airlines and airline manufacturers for 100 years with terrible results” – Warren Buffett
  • More downside risk is seen in the near term with Moody’s now reviewing the company for a possible downgrade.
  • More importantly, no major upside is seen from here. Buying is purely a trade, not an investment in my opinion.
  • See AFR TV QANTAS dive no surprise

You must assess whether or not any advice is appropriate for your Personal Circumstances before making any investment decisions. You can either make this assessment yourself, or if you require a personal recommendation, you can seek the assistance of
a financial advisor.
